Your Vote Counts

While this post will lack originality, I couldn't help myself getting caught up in hottest topic of blog world, Christmas pics. "What should I do? Which pose is best? Are my eyes too squinty? Please cast your vote." Man, I thought the November elections were bad. :) So I'm giving a big round of applause for the inspiration of Miss Etiquette, the debate about creating a "singles" pic from my life-long friend and the boldness of my ex-boyfriend's wife for plagiarism. I figured if she could get away with it, so could I. ;)

    And, just to set the record straight, Holly did not copy my idea, we just both had the same wonderful idea (or so she says...)

    Kari, I have not gotten copies of our Christmas picture yet, if that's what you mean by selecting a winner. Most people voted for "A" but it has a "flaw" that I do not want sent out to hang on the refrigerators of friends and family (although, as Keetha mentioned, it has been posted for the entire world to see...I guess I am assuming more people will get our Christmas card than read my blog.)

    I like the first pic. "You're eyes (and head)how they sparkle"!!!! The 2nd santa doesn't have the sparkle in the eyes!!! Missed your clever blogs but knew you must be extremely busy this "musical" time of year. Merry Christmas Anon!

    Now, about my vote - - - - - - -

    I like the Lollipop headband picture best. I know, I know, they aren't supposed to be lollipops, they're Christmas lights - - - but they looked like lollipops to me at first, and I thought it was WAY FUNNY - - - so that gets my vote.

    I don't know HOW you keep coming up with funny stuff to 'top' the last funny stuff - - - but you do.

    Hey - - - besides reposting my "vote" let me also tell you that you making this new post 'fixed' much of what was goofy about the way your blog comes up on my screen - - - like now the pink doesn't cut off in a strange place, etc. The only two things still weird are the headings on most posts are still a really pale green that is unreadable and your list of links and archives is way at the bottom and half on and half off the blog.

    I will too have to go with Rudolph. When my crazy boy gets up I will have to show it to him. I think we only watch Rudolph about 3 times a day now. When he was sick we watched non stop. They were all great though. You make me proud to be your favorite cousin!

    Just a not about the Beta thing. It takes some getting used to, but I am happy I switched over. My pictures upload in a snap and it publishes instantly. I really like it. I'm sorry it's causing you problems with commenting though. I didn't think it was supposed to matter for comments.

    I've noticed the comment total is adding up, but consider that you, Cool Sis and me are doing most of the talking, I don't think it displays that I have a wide fan base. I'm okay with that. You guys are great people to hang around with. :) Everyone else will just have to miss out until they're brave enough to take the plunge. :o)

    I wasn't having a very pleasant morning with all the pre-exam, too busy to breathe, ROTTEN attitudes that my student (and myself) had all morning.

    Then I went to lunch - - - - and there, in the middle of the teacher's table was a beautiful surprise. NO ONE ELSE GOT A SURPRISE!!!!! It was my very own surprise from Anon.

    THANK YOU!!!!! It is already eaten - - - all by me - - - and it was one of my very favorite kinds!!!!!!

    Like I told Funny Lady, most of the comments are coming from 2 or 3 people, myself included, so I think it has more to do with knowing people who like to have a conversation as opposed to popularity. Now as for the other couple of viewers that I have, I guess they're just chicken. :)

    True Anon - - - - I've noticed the same thing on my blog, most comments from the same sources. BUT - - - - look at it this way, ALL of us in this little blogging circle are getting comments from those same people, and yet, some posts get way more comments than others.

    So - - - - part of it is the 'interesting conversation' factor too.

    Not all posts are equal - - - some are more equal than others. :-)
    (What did that more equal quote come from, I can't remember - - - was it Animal Farm?)
